The IGU Commission on Mountain Studies is pleased to support and promote the II Latin American Congress on Ecology and Conservation of High Andean Ecosystems (II CLECEA 2026), which will take place 1–4 September 2026 in Pasto, Colombia, hosted by the Universidad de Nariño.
The congress aims to bring together researchers, environmental managers, and local communities to discuss research, conservation, and restoration strategies for high mountain socio-ecological systems across the Andes and beyond.
Participants are invited to contribute through:
- Symposium proposals
- Oral presentations
- Poster presentations
The scientific programme will also include keynote lectures by internationally recognized experts.
